HMC (R) Diego Ponce, USN, (FMF/AW/PJ)
Joined Active Duty in the Navy in 1998. Completed a tour with 3rd Marine Division in Okinawa in 1998, then reported to 1st Marine Division and assigned to 3rd BN 5th Marines from 2000-2003 completing one unit deployment and closing out his active-duty contract.
Joined the Navy Reserve deployed with 4th MARDIV, 3rd BN, 23rd Marines to multiple areas in Iraq.
Completed a second tour in Iraq from 2008-2009 , 2nd Combat Logistics BN, in Northeastern Iraq near Ar-Rutbah.
Chief Ponce completed his last tour with 4th ANGLICO.
Diego is Registered Nurse, currently a healthcare operations consultant for multiple DoD and VA medical centers.
Diego is married to his wife Aleesa for 15 years and they have a son Jonathan who is 11 years old.
Jonathan Ponce is 11 years old and going into 6th grade this year. He has been a straight A student his entire life and is an avid soccer and baseball player. More recently he has become a young entrepreneur running his own woodworking business after having learned to operate a CNC unit, modeling software, and laser etching.
