BJ Lange- Laughing Through the Tears: A Veteran Cancer Story

BJ is an Air Force veteran who was diagnosed with cancer while in the middle of medic training. BJ continued through training while receiving cancer treatment and was a member of the Air Force’s Wounded Warrior program.  BJ found a true calling in using laughter to help  ease the pain of life’s struggles. He found that improve comedy utilizes skills necessary for resiliency and began training others. He was an instructor with the Second City Improv Group that birthed legends such as Bill Murray.  He works as a subject matter expert and actor for the Fox show 9-1-1.  BJ is a remarkable force in the veteran community and spoke openly about depression and the mental heartache that is the cancer treatment. I hope you enjoy our conversation as much as I did.
