I consider myself an absurdist, which is basically a nihilist with a goofy mustache. My concoctions offer a made-up world so people can be happy and feel free to debate the ideas put forth in my work. I love to engage the reader with humor.”
“I’ve always been creating and making art,” says Howell. “In elementary school, I doodled in class and did not take notes. Schoolmates weighed in on how I should develop the characters and storylines. I love consuming and sharing stories, and to express myself in a very visual medium is great for getting certain ideas across.”
Howell was discovered by his employer, Pencilmation, an online cartoon channel after it saw his popular Jolly Biscuit comic drawings. He now has storyboards for cartoons geared to children ages 6-12.
